I know it has been a few months and you guys thought we died over here, but we surely did not. We have been hard at work adding new features and testing them out. We were going to release an RC1 this time around, but with all the new features we thought another version of beta would be best. The following is the changelog from beta to beta 2. ucwords() is now utliized to standardize vehicle color, businesses, product, track titles.
So I have buckled down and have the initial feature list done. I basically went throgh phpBB garage and listed all of its features. This will allow us go through and add/remove anything we feel is necessary or not. This is just a first draft list of features which may or may not be included in the first release. Feel free to add to our feature list discussion here. Without further avail here it is.
Garage:
-Each user is allowed to add vehicle entries to their garage. Included in entry is year, make/model, color, mileage, purchase price, description, and images.
-Each vehicle entry is allowed modifications to be added to specific categories including images and a description. Modification categories are defined in ACP.
-Each vehicle entry is also allowed to attach insurance, timeslip/rollingroad and a gallery of images with ability to set one as main pic for vehicle.
-Of the vehicle entries one will be defined as 'Main' for display in profile and posts under avatar.
-Garage is browsable showing lists of all vehicle entries with pertaining info (year, make/model, color, owner, views, mods, updated(date))
-Garage is searchable by make/model, owner or modification.
-Vehicles can be rated by users.
Insurance:
-Each vehicle can have insurance information attached optionally. This information will be displayed along with the vehicle profile.
-Insurance is browsable for reference.
-Insurance is searchable by make/model, insurance agency, or type of coverage. Garage/Shop Reviews:
-Review section for mechanic garages and retail shops. (There is not seperate garage and shops. The reviews will be garages and shops since most mechanics/dealers typically stock and sell parts as well.)
-Business profiles include name, address/city/state, telephone, fax, website, email, hours, and user comments.
-Business can be rated by those that use.
-Total rating is listed in business profile as well as users to use them along with a list of their vehicle, mods and ratings pertaining to that business. Timeslips:
-Each vehicle can have timeslip information attached optionally.
-Included in timeslip is reaction time, 60 foot, 330 foot, 1000 foot, 1/8 mile, 1/8 mile mph, 1/4 mile, 1/4 mile mph, and attached image of scanned timeslip. Rolling Road/Dyno:
-Each vehicle can have rolling road/dyno information attached optionally.
-Included in timeslip is dyno shop, BHP, BHP type, torque, torque type, boost, boost type, nitrous, and peakpoint.
Administration:
-Permissions for each group can be set such as browse, interact, add, and upload. Can be set for admins, gmods, mods, reg users, and guests.
-Ability to add/remove/customize default make/model database.
-Ability to add/remove/edit new/existing businesses entries.
-Configure modfication categories.
-Selectable items of garage available from garage menu.
-Vehicles listed per page while browsing.
-Year range to begin while inserting new vehicles.
-Year offset for current years offset from the current year for the latest year you want to appear as a selection for a new vehicle. Such as, it is 2006...2007 will be available.
-Max vehicles per garage.
-Latest updated vehicles listed on all garage pages.
-Enable/disable HTML for vehicle comments.
-Enable/disable HTML for modification comments.
-Enable/disable vehicle guestbook.
-Enable/disable user submittable makes/models.
-Enable/disable featured vehicle.
-Garage menu is able to display featured vehicle, newest vehicle, latest updated vehicle, newst mod, updated mod, most modded, most spent, most viewed, lastest commented, top 1/4 mile, and top rated.
-Method of featured vehicle is chosen by vehicle ID, random, or by selected category (top rated, most viewed, latest upddated, etc)
-Featured vehicle description can be set to display under featred vehicle.
